Vadim Glushchenko, Director of the Center for Global IT-Cooperation, also spoke about the need to create such an association during his speech at the round table "Social Networks - Utopia or Reality" within the framework of the RIF. He cited international experience as an example: back in 2017, the European Commission initiated the creation of the "Alliance to better protect minors online". This self-regulation initiative aims to develop a coordinated stakeholder approach to reduce risks to minors on the Internet. It involves major IT-giants, media and a number of other companies along with civil society.

“The emergence of such an Alliance in our country would facilitate the establishment of international dialogue. Information security of children is a relevant and positively perceived issue in Europe, therefore the exchange of experience and the establishment of international relations of the alliance represents a constructive and promising agenda for dialogue,” added Vadim Glushchenko.

The idea has already been supported by the first deputy head of the Presidential Administration, Sergei Kiriyenko. “It is important not only to demonstrate our social maturity as key players in the IT market but also the willingness to combine projects and initiatives of companies to solve the main task - the safe virtual present and future of our children,” Kiriyenko said.

The XXV Russian Internet Forum was held from 19 to 22 May in the Moscow oblast and brought together representatives of the largest Russian IT companies, government, young IT specialists and participants all over the world.
