It is a platform that provides students with the opportunity to report violations of their rights in the digital environment and get professional psychological and legal help. The project is supported by the Center for Global IT-Cooperation, MSAL, MGIMO, MGPPU and MegaFon.

The submission form will be available on the YDO’s official website. The key goal of the service is to combine efforts of the YDO’s team members—young people concerned with the violation of youth’s rights in the digital environment—and professional lawyers and psychologists willing to help those who have encountered such problems online. Psychologists at Moscow State University of Psychology and Education (MGPPU) and nearly 20 lawyers are already involved in the project. The option to report rights violations anonymously will be available as well.

“The main goal of all ombudspersons, including the public ones, is to protect violated rights, prevent any violations and, generally speaking, safeguard the interests of a specific social group or society as a whole. Today, we are talking and hear a lot of talk about online dangers and the use of digital tools that aim to violate personal, social, spiritual, economic, and political rights. Most of my speeches and master classes are dedicated to the ways people can detect digital threats, prevent them, and protect themselves from them. And there is a reason for this,” the Youth Digital Ombudsman Dmitry Gulyaev said.
