The first Youth Internet Governance Forum (Youth RIGF) is designed to bring together young professionals who are interested in the IT industry, international relations, law and journalism and learn their views on Internet governance and digital cooperation, Roman Chukov, Chair of the Council of the Competence Center for Global IT Cooperation, told Gazeta.Ru as he commented on the start of registration for the forum.

"Based on the results of the forum, we plan to create a "youth message" - a document that we plan to disseminate around the world. This message will encourage even more young people to discuss the Internet: what it should look like and how it should be governed" he said.

Chukov noted that the list of topics to be raised at the forum is very extensive and will touch on many Internet issues.

"For example, we will be discussing popular platforms - TikTok and Clubhouse and their impact on our lives. We will be talking about the prospects for young professionals in Russia and what opportunities they have to realize their ideas and talents. We will be also discussing personal data: how they can be collected and used, who can do this and how to protect them," he concluded. Let us recall that undergraduate and graduate students, postgraduates, recent graduates and everyone who is interested in the IT sphere and is under 30, can take part in the forum.
