11 Russian Internet Governance Forum (RIGF 2021)

This year everyone who wished to express their opinion on the development of the Internet participated in the creation of the RIGF 2021 program. A collection of topics for the upcoming Forum was organized and the extensive RIGF 2021 program became an outcome of that process.

For three days, speakers and participants of RIGF 2021 discussed information security, Internet trust, regulation of social networks, data sovereignty, the use of artificial intelligence and many other relevant issues related to the development of the Internet and the emergence of the Internet governance ecosystem.

The forum was held by the Coordination Center for TLD.RU/.РФ with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, ICANN, the Technical Center of Internet and Kaspersky Lab.

Center for Global IT-Cooperation organized a youth session, summing up the results of the Youth RIGF. The session also discussed Youth Communique, the final document of the Forum, that formulated the main ideas and concerns of young people to be passed on to the Russian and global Internet community.
