Second roundtable on the Global Digital Compact

Second roundtable on the Global Digital Compact

On February 16, 2023, the Center for Global IT-Cooperation will organize the second roundtable on the Global Digital Compact (GDC), “The Global Digital Compact: From Ideas to Proposals.”

Second roundtable on the Global Digital Compact

The first roundtable on the GDC was held in December 2022 and focused on the initiatives of the Russian expert community as well as prospects of preparing joint proposals for the draft document. Participants of the event discussed the ways to reflect Russia’s interests most fully in the upcoming UN compact and the international partners who could support us in the process.

The discussion was joined by FSBI NIIR, the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, IPAG (HSE), ANO Dialogue, the e-legion company as well as the Center for Global IT-Cooperation—the organizer of the roundtable.

The second roundtable will be a follow-up to the important conversation about the ways to balance the interests of all stakeholders: the state, users, the scientific community, and businesses.

Event participants will discuss the proposals made by the Russian expert community and assess the work that is being carried out to prepare the GDC at the international level. For instance, it is planned to examine the outcome document of the UN Internet Governance Forum 2022, “Addis Ababa IGF Messages.”

We invite you to join us at the roundtable, which will be held at Meeting Point, an office space in Moskva business center (2 Okhotny Ryad Str., Unit 9, Fl. 5, Moscow), on February 16, 2023, starting at 10 a.m. To register for the event, please fill in the Yandex form: https://forms.yandex.ru/cloud/63da28dde010db5bd97dabea/
