Sber won three prestigious international cybersecurity awards

No less than three cybersecurity products developed by Sberbank received international Global InfoSec Awards. Sber was recognized as Hot Company in the Cyber Security Awareness category for the Don’t Let Yourself Be Fooled service of the Sberbank Online mobile app.

This training course first appeared in Sberbank Online in 2020 and is now used by over 25 million clients. The course aims at improving citizens’ digital literacy. It includes articles, tests and videos providing information on common fraud schemes and tips on how not to get caught out by fraudsters presented in an entertaining manner.

The Threat Intelligence Platform won the Most Innovative award in the Vulnerability Intelligence category. The system collects operational data from open sources and dark web, assesses cyber threats and detects vulnerabilities in the bank’s IT infrastructure. The intelligence platform database contains over 56 million indicators of compromise. It allows Sber to detect and block approximately 150 phishing resources that use the bank’s logos without permission per week.

Sber was also recognized as Market Leader in the Third-Party Cyber Risk Management category for its DocAnalyzer product. Artificial intelligence models allow the product to analyze contracts between Sber and its counterparties, such as suppliers and vendors, by assessing whether they meet cybersecurity requirements of the bank. Due to the use of DocAnalyzer, the time spent negotiating contracts has decreased twofold.

“Over the past several years, Sberbank has received prestigious international cybersecurity awards on multiple occasions. Last year, [Sber] cybersecurity products received Global InfoSec Awards as well. Sberbank engages in a constant search for new solutions and keeps improving the products and services already in use. Special emphasis is placed on IT infrastructure security, cybersecurity risk management and improving clients’ digital literacy. It is precisely these products that won awards this year,” Deputy Chairman of Sberbank’s Executive Board Stanislav Kuznetsov said.

Global InfoSec Awards were established by Cyber Defense Magazine, one of the leading international media in the field of cybersecurity. The awards aim at recognizing companies’ successes in different fields of cybersecurity. This year, four thousand companies engaged in cybersecurity submitted award applications. The award jury consists of certified cybersecurity professionals.
