Within the framework of the «Science and technology for defense and security» business program of the International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2021", which started on August 22, 2021, at Patriot Expo, was held a conference called “Humanitarian and Socio-Cultural Aspects of the Development and Application of Technologies artificial intelligence” (AI). The conference was attended by the Director General of the Center for Global IT-Cooperation Vadim Glushchenko and the Center's experts dealing with issues of AI regulation.

The event brought together representatives of federal executive and legislative bodies, industry, science, education, business, as well as leading experts in the development and implementation of AI technologies.

Conference participants noted the high relevance and social significance of the issues raised at the conference on the development and application of AI technologies in Russia and the world and the risks associated with this process for society. They also emphasized the need for coordinated actions of all stakeholders in the socio-political sphere, including the measurement of international cooperation between Russia and foreign partners with subsequent access to a mutually acceptable formula for the global regulation of AI. In addition, the experts emphasized the urgent need to create an integrated control system in Russia that would ensure the effective and safe development of AI technologies in the interests of society according to the formula “technology for people,” and not vice versa.
