Applications are Now Open for Award Regarding the Protection of Children in the Digital Environment from the Alliance

The Alliance is looking for creative and vibrant projects and proposals that help make the internet a friendly space for underage users. It is open to adults and children aged 14 years and over.

The Award is given in three categories:

Safety Lessons on the Web

The nomination is aimed at innovative teachers who are improving digital literacy among students. Bright and innovative teaching methods that engage students in the educational process and an effective lesson plan that raises the most important topics about internet safety will be the way to win the competition!

Adults and Children on the Internet

What parent doesn't want their child to feel safe on the World Wide Web? The Alliance's nomination will highlight those parents who focus on teaching their children responsible online behaviour and safe interaction with the digital environment. Who knows, maybe your methodology will not only be the best, but will help other parents in their parenting!

Best Youth Project

The nomination is aimed at children aged 14 to 18 who have already invented safe ways of interacting with the Internet and want to share them with others. Young active Internet users often know better than adults how to combat cyberbullying and avoid falling into the trap of destructive content, as well as how to use new digital technologies. The author of the most vivid and practical project on how to cope with today's challenges of the online space will be the winner.

The competition in each category will be held in two stages, at the end of which the adult finalists will receive valuable prizes from the organizers and the children will get a unique opportunity to do an internship in the founding companies of the Alliance. The award ceremony will take place in May 2023, in Moscow, at the III Youth Internet Governance Forum (Youth RIGF 2023).

You can apply for the prize, as well as read the detailed conditions for participation, on the website of the Alliance.

The deadline to apply is April 17, 2023 inclusive.
