Forum on protecting the rights of children and youth in the digital environment “Internet for the Youth: Opportunities and Risks”

On November 25, 2021, the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) will host the Forum on the Protection of the Rights of Children and Youth in the Digital Environment, organized by MGIMO jointly with the Center for Global IT-Cooperation and the Office of the Youth Digital Ombudsman with grant support from the Rosmolodezh.

Forum on protecting the rights of children and youth in the digital environment “Internet for the Youth: Opportunities and Risks”

The Forum will become a platform for expert discussions on the security of the Internet space, legal protection of minors on the Internet and the search for joint solutions to create a favourable digital environment for young people. 

As part of the event, it is planned to discuss Russian and foreign experience in the development of the office of the Youth Digital Ombudsman, the Commissioner for Children's Rights and mechanisms for self-regulation of the digital environment as effective means of protecting the young generation in the virtual space. 

The guests of the forum will be the Rector of MGIMO, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Anatoly Torkunov, Russian and foreign experts, ombudspeople for human rights from different countries of the world, representatives of intergovernmental organizations.
