Nizhny Novgorod hosted the first hackathon in a series of events and lectures dedicated to artificial intelligence, which will be held in all regions of Russia as part of the federal project "Artificial Intelligence". The organizer of the project is the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the co-organizer is the Russian Association for Electronic Communications (RAEC), and the operator is the ANO “Russia – the Country of Opportunities”.
Anastasia Ryzhkova, an analyst at the Center for Global IT Cooperation, took part in the refereeing of young teams, which for 48 hours were engaged in the development of effective digital solutions based on artificial intelligence technologies to assess the compliance of Educational Programs with the demands of the labor market and best practices in the field of training specialists in end-to-end technologies of the National Technological Initiative (NTI).
Only 11 out of 26 teams reached the final, and only 3 became winners. “The hackathon format is a great opportunity to dive into a completely new area and learn something more in a very short time. More experienced teams dived deeply into the subject area and showed brilliant results, while slightly less experienced teams were able to discover the huge world of Python and artificial intelligence in general, which gives hope for the future victories of the guys," said Anastasia Ryzhkova.
The winners of the first AI hackathon are the following teams:
· "Showcase" (Moscow)
· "MirITeam" (Nizhny Novgorod region)
· Knyagininsky University (Nizhny Novgorod region)
